Professional Reviewer and Methodology Validator

Master of Education in Educational Psychology; Postgraduate qualification in Education with Life Skills and English; BA in Psychology and Sociology.

Validation scope: Professional review of the CareerPath Namibia platform, career-guidance methodology, learner guidance tools, interpretation approach and educational pathway guidance.

CareerPath Namibia's platform, guidance methodology and supporting career-guidance tools were professionally reviewed and validated by Vehonga Katjitundu against her relevant qualifications, professional experience and educational guidance expertise. The review considered the appropriateness of the methodology, learner-guidance approach, interpretation of results and use of the tools for career exploration and educational pathway planning. This represents professional and methodological validation and does not constitute statutory psychometric accreditation or registration as a clinical psychological instrument.

Governance principles

  • Version control: assessment versions and scoring-engine changes should remain identifiable.
  • Evidence transparency: methodology and programme information should link to identifiable sources.
  • Professional review: educational interpretation and learner-facing guidance should be subject to documented review.
  • Source verification: programme, institution, funding and contact information should include verification dates wherever possible.
  • Age-appropriate guidance: Grades 7–9 focus on exploration, while older grades progressively move toward planning, readiness and transition.
  • No career prescription: results identify areas worth exploring rather than declaring one fixed occupation for a learner.
  • Admission separation: career-fit guidance remains separate from institutional admission eligibility.
  • Referral where appropriate: learners may be referred to a qualified professional when additional individual assessment or guidance is appropriate.

What professional review means

Professional review can evaluate whether the platform's educational structure, interpretation language, learner guidance and workflow are appropriate for its intended guidance purpose.

What it does not mean

Professional review should not be presented as proof of psychometric reliability, validity, standardisation or diagnostic capability unless those properties have been separately tested and documented.

Responsible-use statement

CareerPath Namibia is designed to support career exploration, educational planning and pathway decision-making. Learners, parents and educators should combine CareerPath guidance with current institutional requirements, school guidance and professional advice where appropriate.

Programme requirements, funding conditions and institutional information can change. Users should therefore verify important application decisions against the official source linked by CareerPath.
